The worst fear anyone could imagine having is Achluophobia- fear of darkness. I literally cried and shook whenever I was in the dark. I slept with lights on and never when out at night.
I was locked up inside with lights on to ensure I would not be in the dark. Overcoming this fear took me to doctors, therapists and I even tried medications, which none helped me to overcome my fear. I found The Emergency Stop Technique
and with a little help from myself, I overcame my fear of darkness and I am not able to be with friends when they go out at night.
